  • Our client is a forward-thinking mid-market information services and research firm poised for growth, serving clients in the financial services and insurance sectors.
  • We are seeking an IT support specialist to resolve day-to-day IT operational issues for all company staff. This position will be office-based, in Pune India and will support a staff of ~200 across US, UK and India.
  • Our current IT infrastructure is cloud-based – Office 365, Sharepoint, SFDC and Okta along with a host of SaaS tools form the bulk of our technology footprint.

Position Overview:

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for IT support needs, managing our ticketing system, resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth technology operations for all staff.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide helpdesk support via phone, email, and ticketing system
  2. Manage and prioritize support tickets according to urgency and impact
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  4. Handle staff onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup/deactivation
  5. Configure cloud-based applications and services for new and existing users
  6. Document IT processes and maintain knowledge base articles
  7. Assist with basic system administration tasks in our cloud environment

Requirements:

  1. 1-2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
  2. Providing technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.
  3. Managing and maintaining SharePoint sites, libraries, and permissions.
  4. Assisting users with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other productivity tools.
  5. Strong knowledge of cloud-based services and applications.
  6. Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management.
  7. Familiarity with user account management in cloud environments.
  8. Basic understanding of networking concepts.
  9. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  10. Integrity, Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with Microsoft 365
  2. Knowledge of identity management and single sign-on solutions
  3. Familiarity with remote support tools
  4. Basic scripting abilities for automation of routine tasks
  5. Familiarity with Salesforce is a bonus
